After the couple's children had grown up and flown the coop, they wanted to turn their kid-friendly backyard into something a little more sophisticated. So they enlisted the help of landscape architect Scott Lewis to transform their backyard shed into an artist's studio. Lewis replaced the grass with bluestone pavers, to help draw the eye right to the lush and blooming garden surrounding the backyard structure. After renovating the shed into a workspace, he encased it with a metal frame, over which ivy was trained. The result? A calming and inviting backyard retreat.
